Michelle's Moda Modern Blocks Quilt

This gorgeous red and white version of the Moda Modern Blocks Quilt by Michelle received a custom quilting job and I think it turned out so beautiful.  There are numerous different motifs used throughout the quilt but I also repeated designs to provide an interesting yet thoughtful and not chaotic design.  Glide White thread was used throughout.  And now, pictures!!

Marilyn's Neon Squares Quilt

Marilyn plans to finish this quilt by adding applique and buttons/yoyo's to the blocks of this top.  To compliment that, I decided to quilt a wavy crosshatch for the blocks to have the applique which will be a great background to show through where there are open areas of the blocks.  For the yoyo's, I quilted a flower-like design where the center of the flower will be the yoyo.  I think it's going to turn out great once it's done! It also has ribbon candy and pearls in the borders.

Blueberry Park Mini Swap!

Here is my mini quilt for the Blueberry Park Mini Swap, using fabrics designed by Karen Lewis and a paper piecing pattern by From Blank Pages.  I used a layer of Quilter's Dream Blend on the bottom and Quilter's Dream Wool on top to give it that awesome puffiness.  I didn't quilt the triangles to let the wool do its magic and highlight the colored fabric.  The white is flannel and it gave it whole different texture element.

Flower Power Quilt for Swirly Girl's Designs

This quilt is by Susan, is mainly applique, and is incredibly fun!!  This is one quilt in a series that I completed for Swirly Girl's Designs.  I used several different custom quilting motifs to create the look of the quilting.  I mimicked the shape of the flower and created additional shape elements to each flower.  I love the quilt pattern and I love how the quilting turned out!!

Betty's Gray Teal and Orange Quilt

This is such a pretty quilt.  The colors were wonderfully chosen and go so well together.  I decided to do a double wishbone for the center and two custom borders.  I used a straight line, piano key type design for the outer most border to give it a great frame.  The skinnier border had an "s" shape rope design.  The large scale of the double wishbones kept the quilt nice and soft, great for snuggling with!

Marilyn's Flamingo!

What a fun quilt!  This flamingo was made with raw edge applique.  I outlined all of the pieces of fabric and created a "wing" area with monofilament thread by Fil-Tec.  She deserved a fun background so I did some freehand, fabulous, fancy feathers!!  Marilyn plans to finish the quilt by doing some thread painting and it will look awesome when it's completed!

Susan's Roulette Quilt for Swirly Girl's Design

Here is the next quilt in Swirly Girl's Design's series that I quilted called Roulette.  These large areas of solid colors provided a great opportunity for custom quilting that really complimented the design of the quilt.
