Tree Table Runner

Here is my table runner that I made using Jeli Quilt's JingleGoose pattern.  I used linen for the background, which I have been loving lately, it gives it a subtle texture that's amazing.  Various shades of green were used for the trees.  I designed a quilting motif for the border to give it another element to the piece.  White flannel was used for the backing.  A layer of Quilter's Dream Blend was used on the bottom and Quilter's Dream Wool used on top to make the trees pop off of the runner.  I left the trees unquilted to help them pop even more.

Lindsey's Double Knit

This top is made out of double knit fabrics that was made in the 1980's.  Since this material has some stretch in it, I used a layer of Quilter's Dream Wool to help fill in areas that may have had some extra stretch.  I used an all over quilting motif inspired from one of Angela Walter's designs and I really think it suited the top very well.  The curves helped to break up the straight lines of the piecing.

Quilts of Valor - #19

This Quilts of Valor got an all over wishbone design.  It's quick, fun, and looks great with this quilt.  Used a wool batting to give it extra fluff without the weight or the heat trapping of poly batting.

Ann's Lap Quilt

Ann asked me to quilt a lap quilt that she was gifting to a friend.  I used an all over swirl chain with a "bear claw" filler with a gold metallic thread.  I think it made the thread pop against the fabric for a great accent.  I loved it!!

Doodles!!

I loaded a large piece of muslin and just had some fun doodling and practicing some different shapes and motifs.  I love to just not have any pressure and do what I want to, whatever comes to my brain.  Loved how it turned out.  Used wool on top of 70/30 blend batting, and then silver, gold, and green metallic thread.

Laura's Teal and Purple Batik

Laura had a beautiful teal and purple batik king-size quilt that she wanted some custom quilting done on and I had a blast quilting it.  There were three different borders, each got their own motif.  Then I focused on the white background areas with pebbles and a flower motif between blocks.  I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

This Quilts of Valor got an all over swirl chain design with some "bear claw" filler.  Love this design!  And it's super easy and quick.

Minion Quilt Mini Swap!

I finally got around to uploading some pictures of a mini quilt that I recently made for an instagram mini swap, theme was MINIONS!!  How fun.  I made up this pattern as I went, mainly just tracing shapes that I found around my house, like plates or whatever.  It's all applique and then quilted with some swirls in the background.  The one minion ended up a little wrinkly, but it's ok.  I love how it turned out, and so did my partner!

Quilts of Valor - #16

I did an all over custom job on this Quilts of Valor.  A hook swirl is used on every other row of tumblers, with angular lines between those rows.  A reversing feather was used on the white border and then a regular feather for the outside border.  Thread was red, white, and blue Glide threads, with Quilters Dream blend and wool battings.  Hope you like it!

Quilts Beyond Borders - #6

I used three different designs for this one since it had simple squares of three different colors.  One with a cross hatch, one with a swirl "bear paw" pattern, and one with some curves and ribbon candy.

Quilts of Valor - #12

This Quilts of Valor had a border of free-hand feathers with large, what I call, water lilies on the main blocks.  I'm pretty happy with how the feathers turned out, I think they're the first official feathers to make it on an actual quilt and not just practice fabric!

Dino Baby Panel

I had a blast doing some custom quilting on this cute little flannel dino panel.  It's actually hanging up at a local quilt shop right now! I was so happy with how it turned out, there ended up being a ton of pictures.

Nikki's Baby Blanket

I made this quilt for my sister-in-law who is expecting in a couple months.  It's flannel and minky on the front, with soft cuddle fabric on the back.  The quilting is a wave pattern using a groovy-type board from RNS-designs.com.  I forgot to get a few pictures of the back :-/

Quilts Beyond Borders - #4

This Quilts Beyond Borders has a greek-type quilting pattern that I think really matched the color scheme of this quilt and the spacing of it worked out great!

Quilts Beyond Borders - #2

Up next is a Quilts Beyond Borders and I used an all-over pattern by Full Line Stencils called Cinnamon Spin.  First time using a chalk-stencil combo and after some beginner mishaps, I got the hang of it.

Aviatrix Medallion Complete!

Pattern by Elizabeth Hartman, piecing and quilting by me!  This quilt has been a year in the making and I was finally able to carve out some time and do some selfish sewing recently... and I was able to finish it!  Now for some pictures...
