This was a semi-custom quilting job for a customer named Alice where I did an edge to edge wishbone design in the center, and then two separate border designs. The thin orange border got orange circles with orange thread that really pops. The outside border has organic random feathers on the wider portion and a switchback feather along the thinner section. I love it :)

Holly Holiday Table Runner
So I know the holidays are over, and, well it's already February, but I just got around to blogging about this cute holly themed table runner that I made for a friend. She loves, loves hollies so I kept it real simple and chose some fabric that had hollies in it and did a freehand holly loopy pattern for the quilting. I love how the cream fabric has sparkles in it, very holiday cheer-y!!

Tree Table Runner
Here is my table runner that I made using Jeli Quilt's JingleGoose pattern. I used linen for the background, which I have been loving lately, it gives it a subtle texture that's amazing. Various shades of green were used for the trees. I designed a quilting motif for the border to give it another element to the piece. White flannel was used for the backing. A layer of Quilter's Dream Blend was used on the bottom and Quilter's Dream Wool used on top to make the trees pop off of the runner. I left the trees unquilted to help them pop even more.

Lindsey's Double Knit
This top is made out of double knit fabrics that was made in the 1980's. Since this material has some stretch in it, I used a layer of Quilter's Dream Wool to help fill in areas that may have had some extra stretch. I used an all over quilting motif inspired from one of Angela Walter's designs and I really think it suited the top very well. The curves helped to break up the straight lines of the piecing.
